Yours truly has been invited to speak to parents of children in the Chappaqua, NY school district. The event sponsored by the Chappaqua PTA is free and open to the public. Also scheduled to speak is someone from the District Attorney's office. More details as they become available. We're expecting it will draw considerable media attention. Kathleen Engles of the Transfiguration School in Tarrytown, NY is putting together a free Internet safety workshop to coincide with the opening of their newly completed technology wing.

The workshop will be open only to school faculty and board members, parents of attending school children, their friends and family, and the news media.

Yours truly is very excited to have again been asked to be the main speaker at such an event. I promise that everyone in attendance will learn something they will be able to put to use in their homes right away! No one walks away disappointed.

Nancy Kappler of the Suffield, CT school system, sponsored by the the McAlister PTAC and the Spaulding School PTO, will be hosting a free workshop for parents interested in learning more about the specifics of exactly how to protect their children from harm online. The program is open to the general public and expected to last about an hour with time afterward for questions and answers.

Yours truly has been invited present the main body of the program. Topics will include discussion of the various ways predators on the internet target individuals and gather personal information on them, the importance of software filtering in the home and a live demonstration how to install and configure Cyber Patrol, a popular and powerful software filter.
