Greetings from SurfSafely.com! If you enjoy reading this newsletter as much as I do writing it, pass it on to all your friends and family but please respect their privacy. Place the addresses of those you send to in the BCC: field rather than To: or CC:. And as always, this newsletter is opt-in only. If you feel you've received it in error, reliable removal instructions are at the bottom. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In this issue: 1. Emergency virus alert ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Like I said before, this is shaping up to be a busy holiday season. :\ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rather than restating what has already been stated, please read either of these articles. http://www.mcafee.com/anti-virus/viruses/goner/default.asp?cid=2636 or http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.goner.a@mm.html This is apparently another very serious virus outbreak. I personally have not received any of these infected attachments but that doesn't mean I won't. Basic rule of thumb: Never open ANY email attachment until you have verified that the person you received it from INTENDED to send it to you! Learn this rule, practice it, teach it to your children. Don't let a virus fool you into thinking the person you received it from intended to send it to you. Always check. If you do, 99 times out of a hundred you will never be affected by viruses as they propagate the net. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That's news for now. Be informed, Be involved, Be well. Sincerely, Mark Brasche Founder and CEO, SurfSafely.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ::Goner virus alert
