VIRUS ALERT, VERY HIGH RISK ============================== This just in from McAfee, A new email virus called W32/Nimda@MM that can spread itself, not only by email but also by web page javascript. If your machine becomes infected with this virus and you have a web site that you upload HTML pages to, anyone JUST VIEWING your pages with Microsoft Internet Explorer who has not taken the precautions I am about to walk you through below will also become infected! This includes YOU if you use MSIE to browse until you apply this patch from Microsoft to your computers. The latest information I have on this virus was obtained at http://www.mcafee.com/anti-virus/viruses/nimda/default.asp?cid=2452 If you use Internet Explorer to browse the web, please go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/q299618/default.asp Follow the instructions there to the letter. McAfee ViruScan users, get the latest .dat file at http://download.mcafee.com/updates/updates.asp Norton AntiVirus users please visit that support site for their latest info in W32/Nimda@MM. This is the first time that I can remember ever seeing a virus that can infect a users computer just by browsing the web. It is imperitive that you protect yourself from this virus as soon as possible. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT ALMOST 4% OF ALL COMPUTERS BEING USED TO ACCESS THE WEB AT THIS VERY MOMENT ARE INFECTED!
